Northern Cyprus said it's ready to expand cooperation with Azerbaijan, particularly in tourism and education according to TRNC President Ersin Tatar.
“The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) is fully prepared to broaden its cooperation with Azerbaijan,” said TRNC President Ersin Tatar during a meeting in Lefkoşa with with Vugar Isgandarov, a member of Azerbaijan’s Parliament.
The meeting was also attended by Orhan Hasanoğlu, head of the Azerbaijan-Cyprus Friendship Society, and Nadir Ismayilov, a representative of Azerbaijan’s Press Council.
Discussions focused on strengthening bilateral ties, particularly in the areas of tourism and education.
President Tatar highlighted that Lefkoşa continues to deepen its relationships with both Baku and Ankara under the “One Nation, Three States” principle.
He also expressed gratitude to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev for his continued support and attention to Northern Cyprus.
