EU provides humanitarian support for vulnerable refugees in Türkiye

The European Union will provide €20 million in humanitarian aid to support vulnerable refugees in Türkiye. This funding will be directed to humanitarian partners working closely with Turkish authorities to address refugees’ essential needs, including protection, health, water and sanitation, etc.

The aid focuses on refugees with limited or no access to government services, particularly those most affected by the 2023 earthquake and other vulnerable migrant groups.

Türkiye currently hosts around 3 million registered refugees, primarily from Syria, as well as from Afghanistan, Iraq, and Iran, alongside an unknown number of unregistered individuals.
