Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has called for national unity and urged citizens to trust the government following Israel’s strikes on Iranian territory.
In a televised address, Pezeshkian emphasized that the country is facing a critical moment and must not allow internal divisions to weaken its response. “I call on the entire nation: maintain unity… and at the same time - trust the authorities,” he said. “Now more than ever, the country needs unity.”
His appeal comes as mass protests erupted in Tehran, where crowds took to the streets demanding a strong and immediate response to the Israeli attack. Demonstrators waved flags, chanted slogans against Israel, and called on Iran’s leadership to take decisive action.
The Israeli strikes, which reportedly targeted key infrastructure inside Iran, have heightened regional tensions and drawn international concern over a potential escalation.
