Strong explosion sounds were heard here in Iran’s capital, Tehran, at about 9:30am local time.
There were initially no official statements about the source of the explosions. However, according to the Fars News Agency, there were at least three explosions in downtown Tehran.
Since that report emerged, there have been other massive explosion sounds heard around Tehran.
So, so far, there is no confirmation of the source, or the number of explosions.
But the general feeling here in Tehran is that these are the same style of Israeli attacks that happened in last June’s (2025) surprise assault.
