The International Gaza humanitarian aid summit in Istanbul brings together over 400 participants from 200 institutions across Türkiye and 48 other countries.

A two-day summit, themed “The Future of Gaza,” aimed at addressing urgent humanitarian needs of millions of people in Gaza begun on Tuesday 11 November in Istanbul.

The event was put together by the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation, one of the country’s leading humanitarian organizations.

Participants include civil society representatives, human rights defenders, academics, and the media, all working towards coordinated, sustainable aid and recovery in Gaza following the latest ceasefire.

At the summit, five key workshops focus on critical issues, including rebuilding infrastructure and restoring education, as well as ensuring access to healthcare and housing.

Türkiye has carried out humanitarian operations since the October 2025 ceasefire, including delivering 100 aid trucks from El Arish, Egypt, in coordination with the Egyptian Red Crescent.

The Turkish Red Crescent is also preparing to send a new shipment of supplies to Gaza later this week.

The summit underscores Türkiye’s ongoing support for Palestinian humanitarian causes and its leadership in international crisis response. Istanbul maintains as a neutral hub for global humanitarian coordination.

A final declaration will be released at the end of the event on Wednesday, outlining long-term strategies for aid delivery and post-conflict recovery.
