Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas on Thursday to discuss strengthening economic ties and preparations for the upcoming Central Asia-EU summit in Samarkand.
Talks focused on trade, digitalization, green energy, logistics, and infrastructure, with particular attention to the Trans-Caspian transport corridor and joint projects.
Mirziyoyev emphasised the importance of the April 3-4 summit and highlighted the productive ministerial meeting in Ashgabat.
They also discussed Uzbekistan’s WTO accession efforts and finalizing an enhanced partnership agreement with the EU, along with key regional and global issues.
