Uzbekistan Energy Week 2026 has opened in Tashkent, bringing together international energy companies, government officials and industry experts to discuss energy security, technological transformation and regional cooperation.
The platform combines several major industry events, including the 28th International Oil and Gas Uzbekistan Exhibition (OGU 2026), Power Uzbekistan 2026, the Green Energy Technologies section and the Uzbekistan Energy Forum.
This year’s event is the largest in the forum’s history, with more than 580 companies and brands, over 1,500 delegates and participants from 34 countries taking part in the exhibitions and conferences.
Countries from Central Asia and the South Caucasus are strongly represented, alongside participants from Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
The central theme of this year’s forum is “New Energy: Innovation, Sustainability and Regional Cooperation”.
Discussions are focusing on renewable energy development, energy security, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, energy storage systems and the integration of modern technologies into existing infrastructure.
Organisers say the forum is intended to serve as a platform for dialogue between governments, international corporations and industry experts on the future of the regional energy sector.
Uzbekistan’s renewable energy ambitions remain one of the key topics of discussion. According to official figures, the country has increased the share of green energy in electricity generation to 30% through large-scale solar and wind projects implemented with international partners. By 2030, Uzbekistan aims to raise this figure to 54%.
National pavilions from China, Germany, Türkiye, Russia and several other countries are showcasing technologies and solutions in oil and gas, renewable energy, digital systems and industrial infrastructure.
Chinese companies account for one of the largest representations at the exhibition, particularly in the fields of solar energy, power transmission and smart technologies.
In addition to the conference programme and exhibition halls, Uzbekistan Energy Week also includes B2B and G2B meetings aimed at strengthening international partnerships and attracting investment into the country’s energy sector.
Several cooperation agreements and memorandums are expected to be signed during the forum.
