Under the stars in Rome, Dior unveiled its cruise and haute couture 2026 collections with a dreamy runway show inspired by Italian cinema and theatre.
On a misty Tuesday night in Rome, Dior turned the gardens of Villa Albani Torlonia into a storybook runway. With guests seated under clear umbrellas, models glided along a gravel path, surrounded by hedges and soft garden lights, showing off Maria Grazia Chiuri’s newest creations.
The cruise and fall-winter haute couture 2026 collections were filled with airy, romantic pieces—delicate sheer gowns with lace, ruffled dresses, and long coats in soft shades of white, ivory, and nude. But there was also a bold edge: strong-shouldered trench coats, tailored military jackets, and dramatic black and red velvet dresses added contrast and depth.
After the final look, Chiuri walked through the garden, smiling as the crowd stood to applaud. The show, which paid homage to Italian cinema and theatre, followed Louis Vuitton’s own cruise collection in France last week—both part of a creative push by LVMH labels.
With the luxury fashion world facing slower sales and shifting tastes, shows like this are helping big brands reconnect with audiences through emotion, storytelling, and spectacle.
