Several Taylor Swift songs have disappeared from social media videos posted by U.S. President Donald Trump's campaign and the White House, after the best-selling pop star's music featured in two separate clips over the past week.

Neither the White House nor a representative for Swift responded to requests for comment.

Swift, the world's wealthiest living female musician, has been publicly quiet on Trump recently, athough she backed his Democrat rival Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential race. During the 2020 campaign, she suggested online that Trump was aware he lacked her support.

Trump has been openly hostile towards the singer, declaring his dislike for her after her Harris endorsement and later mocking her popularity on social media.

Other artists ask Trump to remove music

Dozens of musicians, including Sabrina Carpenter and Ariana Grande, have urged the Trump administration to stop using their music in official content.

One of the removed clips, posted to the campaign's TikTok account, reworked several Swift song titles and lyrics into captions attacking the 2021-2025 Democrat administration led by Joe Biden.

In June, Trump's campaign posted a video on the short-video platform with Swift's new "Toy Story 5" song "I Knew It, I Knew You." The short video was captioned "Nobody loves our country & the American People more than @President Donald J Trump." It showed him interacting with children at the White House, dancing at a UFC match and appearing at a rally.

Trump's communications team frequently pairs popular music with footage covering political issues, such as immigration enforcement and military action against Iran.
