The Golden Globes award-winning first KPop Demon Hunters film, released last year, has become Netflix's most watched movie of all time and created the also multi-award winning hit song 'Golden'.
It is tipped to win 'best animated feature' at the Oscars ceremony this Sunday.
The animated piece has reached over 500 millions views on Netflix since its debut in June 2025 becoming the most-watched English language movie in the platform's history.
The story follows K-pop Huntr/x bandmates Rumi, Mira and Zoey as they deal with fame and moonlight as secret demon hunters.
It quickly became a hit among young audiences becoming a rare K-pop production to break into mainstream western markets.
Although there is no release date for the sequel yet, first film took 7 years to make, from the initial idea to releasing on Netflix, however, fans might be hoping the next installment comes sooner than that.

Maggie Kang, one of the co-directors, told the BBC in an interview in October "there's definitely more we can do with these characters in this world. And whatever it will be, it will be a story that deserves to be a sequel, and it will be something that we want to see".
