Vietnam has approved a $1.5 billion project by the Trump Organization and Kinhbac City to build golf courses, resorts, and homes. Work is set to begin this quarter and finish by mid-2029.
Vietnam’s government has approved a $1.5 billion investment project by the Trump Organization and local real estate firm Kinhbac City, aimed at developing a massive tourism and real estate complex, Tuoi Tre newspaper reported.
Spanning 990 hectares (2,446 acres), the project will include golf courses, luxury hotels, resorts, and a residential zone. Construction is scheduled to begin this quarter and conclude by the second quarter of 2029, according to a document signed by Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha.
The Trump Organization and the Vietnamese government have not yet commented publicly.
This approval comes as Vietnam and the U.S. continue trade talks, with Vietnam hoping to avoid a proposed 46% import tariff.
In March, Reuters reported the Trump Organization plans up to four golf and hotel developments in Vietnam, with two courses expected to open by mid-2027.
Vietnam currently has around 70 golf courses and approximately 100,000 local golfers, according to the Vietnam Golf Association.
