Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) said Wednesday that it now believes “some data has been affected” after a cyberattack forced the company to shut down operations last Tuesday. Staff have been instructed to work from home since the incident.

A company spokesperson said teams are working around the clock with cybersecurity specialists to restore global applications safely.

“Our forensic investigation continues at pace and we will contact anyone as appropriate if we find that their data has been impacted,” the spokesperson added.

It is not yet clear what specific data may have been accessed.

JLR said partner retail operations, including service and sales, are not affected. The attack has disrupted production, internal systems, and the company’s supply chain.

The hacking group Scattered Spider has claimed responsibility for the attack.

JLR plans to brief Members of Parliament whose constituencies include production sites during a meeting on Friday.
