President Donald Trump said Friday he believes any potential conflict with North Korea can be resolved, pointing to his strong relationship with leader Kim Jong Un.
Speaking at the Oval Office on Friday, U.S. President Donald Trump expressed confidence that tensions with North Korea could be defused.
“I’ve had a good relationship with Kim Jong Un and get along with him really great,” Trump told reporters.
Asked about reports of a possible conflict, Trump said, “Somebody’s saying there’s a potential conflict, I think we’ll work it out. If there is, it wouldn’t involve us.”
Trump added that despite the distance between the United States and many of the regions it is involved in, he is optimistic about resolving global challenges.
