U.S. President Donald Trump on Tuesday declared that the ceasefire between Israel and Iran was now active, calling on both sides to respect the deal despite renewed hostilities overnight.“THE CEASEFIRE IS NOW IN EFFECT. PLEASE DO NOT VIOLATE IT!” Trump posted in all capital letters on Truth Social, just hours after Israel’s ambulance service reported that four people were killed in fresh Iranian missile attacks.The statement followed Trump’s Monday announcement of what he called a "complete ceasefire" to end the 12-day war between the two countries. At the time, Trump indicated that both Israel and Iran would be allowed to finish any ongoing operations before the ceasefire took full effect in a phased process.
