Amid rising Israel-Iran tensions, the U.S. has ordered additional military deployments to bolster its defense posture in the Middle East.

U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth announced on Monday the deployment of additional defensive assets to the Middle East, as the conflict between Israel and Iran intensifies regional tensions.

While Hegseth did not specify the capabilities being sent, sources revealed the deployment of a significant number of military refueling aircraft and the repositioning of an aircraft carrier to the region.

“Protecting U.S. forces is our top priority, and these deployments are intended to enhance our defensive posture in the region,” Hegseth stated in a post on social media platform X.
