A Hezbollah official says the group will not act independently in response to Israeli strikes on Iran, expressing solidarity with Tehran but stopping short of direct retaliation.

Hezbollah will not launch an independent attack on Israel following Israeli strikes on Iran, a senior official from the Lebanese armed group told Reuters.

"Hezbollah will not initiate its own attack on Israel in retaliation for Israel’s strikes," the official said, adding that any response would not be unilateral.

In a public statement, Hezbollah condemned Israel’s strikes and reaffirmed its full solidarity with Iran. The announcement comes after the Lebanese government warned the group against dragging the country into a wider regional conflict without state approval.
