Ukraine's military says it has preemptively struck Russian missile systems in Russia’s Bryansk region, thwarting what it claims was an imminent attack on Kyiv.
The Ukrainian military reported that it targeted Russian missile systems in the Bryansk region on Thursday, which were allegedly being readied for an attack on Ukraine.
According to a statement from Ukraine’s General Staff on Telegram, one Russian missile launcher was destroyed in the strike, while two others were likely damaged.
The General Staff added that the missile unit in Bryansk appeared to be preparing an assault on Kyiv, the Ukrainian capital.
