New Delhi Continues To Battle Toxic Smog as Air Quality Worsens

Typically at 400—a level deemed "severe"—the AQI climbed to 476 on Thursday, edging closer to "hazardous" territory, according to India's Air Quality statistics.
This alarming figure has left residents frustrated and worried about their health.

Local Resident Amit Kumar Singh: "It is difficult to live in Delhi now. The pollution is causing a burning sensation in the eyes and breathing issues when you are outdoors in the morning and evening."

Farmers burning stubble are being blamed for contributing to the toxic smog. In response, the government claims to have taken strict measures to address the issue. Additionally, India’s national space agency has been tasked with developing a monitoring system to track burnt areas and farm fires.
The worsening air pollution calls for immediate action to battle the smog crisis.
