A 24-year-old illegal immigrant from Venezuela has been taken into custody after trying to enroll himself as a 16-year-old at a high school in Ohio, according to local authorities.
Anthony Emmanuel Labrador Sierra, a 24-year-old male, was attending a public high school in Perrysburg, Ohio, after being held by the ICE, they discovered he is an adult Venezuelan national residing in the United States illegally.
Sierra was arrested and charged with fraud for using fake documents to enroll in the high school.
Reports say he is also a father, though it is unknown how old his child is.
Police records obtained by WTVG indicated that Labrador Sierra informed the high school in November 2023 that he was smuggled from Venezuela and was living in Perrysburg. The 24-year-old non-citizen claimed to be 16 years old while enrolling as a student, which he successfully did in January 2024 with what he presented as an authentic Venezuelan birth certificate.
