Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha met in Antalya on Wednesday to discuss efforts toward a ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine and Türkiye’s role in facilitating peace talks.
During an informal NATO foreign ministers meeting in Antalya, Türkiye’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan met with his Ukrainian counterpart Andrii Sybiha to review the latest developments in the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
According to Turkish diplomatic sources, the discussion focused on ongoing efforts to secure a ceasefire and achieve a lasting peace. Fidan reaffirmed Türkiye’s willingness to provide all necessary support, including hosting mediation and peace negotiations in Istanbul on Thursday.
The ministers also reviewed plans for an upcoming visit by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to Türkiye.
