An incident involving a car driving into PSG fans celebrating in Paris has resulted in injuries, property damage, and multiple arrests, authorities confirm.
A vehicle drove into a crowd of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) fans celebrating the team’s victory over Arsenal in Paris, leaving three individuals injured, one critically, according to Le Parisien.
The driver was reportedly pulled from the vehicle by bystanders before the car was set ablaze, causing an explosion. Images from the aftermath show the charred remains of the vehicle.
The incident escalated tensions, with reports of property damage and clashes between fans and police. Authorities also recorded gunshots during the unrest.
As of now, 43 individuals have been detained in connection with the disturbances. Investigations are ongoing to determine the full scope of the incident and its causes.
