A 30-nation delegation from NomadMania—the world’s largest competitive travel community—began a three-day tour of Azerbaijan’s Karabakh region on Thursday, AZERTAC reports.

Led by NomadMania founder and seasoned traveller Harry Mitsidis, the group will visit sites in Karabakh and East Zangezur to observe post-war reconstruction and the damage left from the period of Armenian occupation. Organisers say the trip will help promote the liberated areas through “dark tourism.”

Over the past five years, large contingents from major travel networks—ETIC, MTP, TCC, NomadMania, the Turkish Travel Club, Britain’s “Piki Reels,” and Sweden’s “Club 100”—have visited Karabakh and East Zangezur a total of 12 times.
