Bulgaria has proposed the establishment of a multinational center on its territory to ensure the safety of shipping in the western Black Sea.
Following the “coalition of the willing” summit in Paris, Bulgarian Prime Minister Rossen Zhelyazkov emphasized the critical importance of restoring commercial shipping.
He stated that a coordination center would offer continuous surveillance and provide early warnings of potential threats and hostile activities in the western Black Sea.
As an example of successful cooperation, Zhelyazkov highlighted the joint demining efforts by Bulgaria, Romania, and Türkiye, which began in the summer of 2024.
