Canadian police are investigating after more than 80 Tesla vehicles were vandalized at a local dealership.
Police in Hamilton, Canada, report that more than 80 Tesla vehicles have been vandalized at a local dealership.
Authorities responded to a call regarding damage to several vehicles in the dealership’s inventory. Upon arrival, they discovered that over 80 Teslas parked outdoors had been severely damaged, with deep scratches, punctured tires, and other signs of vandalism.
Officers are currently reviewing CCTV footage and seeking public assistance in the investigation.
In recent weeks, acts of vandalism targeting Tesla vehicles, dealerships, and charging stations have increased both in the United States and internationally.
The incidents appear to be driven primarily by political opposition to Tesla's CEO Elon Musk’s recent involvement with the Trump administration in the United States.
