Speaking at a meeting of AIPAC’s board of directors, Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar stated that the decision to resume strikes in Gaza was made several days ago and that the military operation will persist beyond today.
Sa’ar emphasized, "This is not a one day attack," adding that the strikes will continue over the coming days.
Sa’ar noted that US special envoy Steve Witkoff presented two proposals to Hamas, both of which were rejected. "We found ourselves at a dead end, with no hostages released and no military action. This is a situation that cannot continue," Sa’ar said, underscoring the need for sustained action.
The remarks come as Israel intensifies its military campaign in Gaza, with further strikes expected to target militant groups and strategic positions in the region.
