A man waving a Palestinian flag climbed Big Ben at London’s Palace of Westminster early on Saturday, with local media reporting he shouted “free Palestine.” Police and emergency services are working to bring the situation under control.
The Metropolitan Police said they were alerted to the incident at Elizabeth Tower, also known as Big Ben, at 07:24 GMT.
Emergency responders, including the London Fire Brigade and the London Ambulance Service, were deployed to the scene as officers attempted to resolve the situation.
