Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has arrived at the Tel Aviv District Court to take the stand in his long-running corruption trial. Netanyahu arrived with his legal team, after he was ordered to testify in the 2019 indictment in three cases, involving gifts from millionaire friends and allegedly seeking regulatory favours for media tycoons, in return for favourable news coverage.
He has denied any wrongdoing and has pleaded not guilty.
Netanyahu is Israel's first sitting prime minister to be charged with a crime.
