Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan on Tuesday, February 18, to discuss the ongoing war in Ukraine.
The meeting coincided with U.S.-Russia talks in Saudi Arabia aimed at ending the three-year war and improving relations between the two powers.
Erdogan warmly welcomed Zelenskyy at the Turkish presidency, ahead of the scheduled bilateral talks between their delegations. Ukrainian Defence Minister Rustem Umerov also held separate discussions with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and Defence Minister Yasar Guler earlier that day.
The two leaders are expected to focus on strengthening bilateral cooperation and addressing the latest developments in Ukraine, with a press conference planned to follow their discussions.
