The European Union unveiled a new humanitarian aid package on Monday, pledging 140 million euros ($142.8 million) for Ukraine and an additional 8 million euros for Moldova. The announcement came as European Commissioner for Crisis Management, Hadja Lahbib, visited Ukraine to address the country’s ongoing humanitarian challenges amid the war with Russia.
The funds are intended to provide vital support for food, shelter, clean water, and heating to assist Ukraine’s population. "This new funding of 148 million euros is a clear sign that we stand with the Ukrainian people in their time of need," Lahbib stated. "We will continue to work alongside our partners and Ukrainian authorities to support those affected by this crisis."
