Blue Origin cancels launch due to rocket subsystem issues, with no new timeline set. Engineers are troubleshooting as the rocket is defueled for further assessment.
Blue Origin engineers were unable to resolve technical issues with the rocket in time for tonight’s planned launch, leading flight controllers to cancel the attempt.
The company did not immediately disclose the specific problems that engineers were addressing. “We are standing down today’s launch attempt to troubleshoot a vehicle subsystem issue,” said Ariane Cornell, Blue Origin’s vice president of in-space systems.
The rocket is currently being defueled, and no timeline has been provided for the next launch attempt. “From there, we’re going to assess what tasks we might want to complete during this downtime, and that will guide the timing of our next launch opportunity,” Cornell added.
