Blue Origin launched six passengers into space aboard New Shepard, completing an 11-minute sub-orbital flight that crossed the Kármán Line.
Blue Origin’s New Shepard rocket launched from Texas, carrying six passengers on a sub-orbital flight that lasted around 11 minutes from lift-off to landing.
The crew—which included lawyers, a philanthropist, and business leaders—reached the apogee, or peak altitude, where they experienced weightlessness. The flight crossed the Kármán Line, the internationally recognized boundary of space 100 kilometers above sea level.
This marks Blue Origin’s 13th human spaceflight. The company is owned by Jeff Bezos.
