Iran's first ever all woman flight
In a historic first, an all-women flight landed on Sunday (December 22) in the holy city of Mashhad in northeastern Iran.
The Aseman Airlines flight led by Captain Shahrazad Shams, Iran’s first female pilot, arrived at Mashhad's international airport on Sunday morning, local media reported.
The flight, called "Iran Banoo", was crewed by an all-female staff and had 110 women passengers.
Its arrival coincided with the birthday of Hazrat Fatimah Zahra, the daughter of Prophet Mohammad, which is celebrated as Mother’s Day and Women’s Day in Iran.
