Israeli Army has confirmed it carried out precision attacks against top leadership of Hamas in Doha on Tuesday. It made this known in a post on its X account.

In the post, they also said that they took steps to mitigating the harm against civilians by using precise strikes and additional intelligence.

The IDF attributed the October 7 attacks and the ensuing war to Hamas and vowed to ensure they were brought to book.

"The IDF and ISA will continue to operate with determination in order to defeat the Hamas terrorist organization responsible for the October 7 massacre" it said.

Several blasts were heard in Qatar's Doha on Tuesday, with plumes of black smoke billowing from the city's Legtifya petrol station.

Right next door to the petrol station is a small residential compound that has been guarded by Qatar’s emiri guard 24 hours a day since the beginning of the Gaza conflict.

Axios reports that a senior Israeli official confirmed they were an assassination operation against Hamas officials including Khalil al-Hayya its exiled Gaza chief.

Over 10 Israeli airstrikes were conducted on the Hamas offices in Doha, Qatar, according to eyewitnesses.

Qatar, which has been mediating between Hamas and Israel, condemned the "cowardly" Israeli attack on Hamas officials and called it a flagrant violation of international law.

The diplomatic advisor to UAE President also issued a statement condemning the 'treacherous' Israeli attack that targeted Hamas officials in Doha saying "We stand with Qatar".

The unprecedented action in Doha marks the first known Israeli strike on Qatari soil, signaling a dramatic escalation in Israel’s campaign against Hamas leadership abroad.

Meanwhile the U.S. Embassy in Doha has issued a "shelter in place" warning to American citizens in the region.

Hamas had earlier on Tuesday claimed responsibility for the shooting  at a Bustop in Ramot Jerusalem which claimed the lives of six people and injured many others.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited the scene and vowed to continue operations whilst sayig that Israeli forces were already in pursuit of the attackers and those who aided them.
