Israeli Army has confirmed it carried out precision attacks against top leadership of Hamas in Doha on Tuesday. It made this known in a post on its X account.
In the post, they also said that they took steps to mitigating the harm against civilians by using precise strikes and additional intelligence.
The IDF attributed the October 7 attacks and the ensuing war to Hamas and vowed to ensure they were brought to book.
"The IDF and ISA will continue to operate with determination in order to defeat the Hamas terrorist organization responsible for the October 7 massacre" it said.
Several blasts were heard in Qatar's Doha on Tuesday, with plumes of black smoke billowing from the city's Legtifya petrol station.
Right next door to the petrol station is a small residential compound that has been guarded by Qatar’s emiri guard 24 hours a day since the beginning of the Gaza conflict.
Axios reports that a senior Israeli official confirmed they were an assassination operation against Hamas officials including Khalil al-Hayya its exiled Gaza chief.
