U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., has appointed seven new members to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) vaccine expert panel, according to an internal CDC document released on Wednesday.

The Department of Health and Human Services instructed the CDC to add the seven new members to its Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices, as revealed in the document reviewed by Reuters.

In June, Kennedy dismissed all 17 previous panel members and replaced them with eight anti-vaccine activists and other selected advisers, though one has since left the committee.
