A man was arrested after allegedly driving a car onto the grounds of the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Woollahra, eastern Sydney.
Police said the incident occurred around 8 a.m. when officers were called to Fullerton Street following reports of an unauthorized vehicle on the consulate property. The driver reportedly attempted to enter the consulate grounds by driving into the gates.
A 39-year-old man was taken into custody and is assisting police with inquiries. A 24-year-old police constable sustained a hand injury during the incident and was treated by NSW paramedics. No other injuries have been reported.
Authorities confirmed that the investigation is ongoing.
