A fire broke out at a fuel and energy facility in the Odesa region of southern Ukraine following a Russian drone attack, as reported by the country's emergency services. Preliminary information indicates no casualties.
Meanwhile, in Russia, the death toll from a fire in the Ryazan region has risen to 20, with 134 others injured. The cause of the fire remains unclear. Odesa Regional State Administration Head Oleh Kiper confirmed the latest drone strike on Odesa in a Telegram post, stating that despite active air defense measures, the attack left its mark on the region.
Kiper stated that the attack caused fires at both a fuel and energy infrastructure facility and a two-story building on the outskirts of Odesa.
He also noted that SOCAR's gas station in Odesa was hit by drone strikes last night, resulting in another fire. The fires were quickly extinguished, and no casualties or injuries have been reported.
According to Kiper, Ukrainian rescuers, including a fire train from Ukrzaliznytsia, swiftly controlled the blaze. Local media also reported that Russian forces targeted the Nova Poshta terminal and SOCAR terminals in the attack.
