The freezing internally displaced people in Deir al-Balah have set up their tents. Families work intensively to save their belongings and repair makeshift shelters damaged by strong winds and rainwater.
Approximately 1.9 million displaced people are facing a significant crisis. Many shelters, made from cloth or plastic sheeting, offer inadequate protection against harsh winter conditions, leaving families vulnerable.
Children in Central Gaza gather blankets, pieces of wood, or tree branches to build fires, desperately trying to keep warm amid the freezing temperatures.
In response to the crisis, UNICEF is providing blankets, tents, and warm clothing to those affected in the Gaza Strip.
