A man opened fire in the Austrian town of Traiskirchen on Sunday, killing one person and seriously wounding another before taking his own life, police said.
The incident occurred around 32 kilometres south of Vienna. According to a police spokesperson, the shooter fled the scene in a vehicle after the attack but later died by suicide.
The injured woman was airlifted to a hospital in Vienna and remains in serious condition.
The Lower Austrian State Office of Criminal Investigation has launched an investigation.
Local media reported the shooting may have followed a personal dispute, though authorities have not yet confirmed a motive.
