A man was gored and seven others injured during the adrenaline-charged second day of Spain's iconic San Fermin bull running festival in Pamplona.

The gored man, reportedly over 25 years-old, was struck under his right armpit by a bull’s horn and remains under observation in stable condition, emergency officials said.

The seven others experienced bruises and contusions, particularly in the head and shoulders. The event, known as the 'encierro,' and involves fighting bulls sprinting through the city's narrow streets toward the bullring, accompanied by daring runners dressed in white with red scarves.

The San Fermin festival, made famous by Ernest Hemingway’s 'The Sun Also Rises,' spans a week each July and includes not only bull runs and bullfights but also religious ceremonies, music, dancing, and heavy partying.
