Despite the inability to train in her homeland, Sadurska expressed her joy at the achievement, calling it a rewarding ending.
A freediver from Ukraine Kateryna Sadurska, broke her sixth world record by diving 269 feet in Dominica.
Weeks before, at the Freediving World Championships in Kalamata, Greece, she made a record of diving 262 meters.
"I felt good, like in training. But the training process was not easy because I had to travel a lot because I cannot train in my country. And yes, it was a challenging season and I'm really happy to do such deep dives, even at the end of it. And also the day before, the weather was not very nice. And today I was lucky as well as other competitors. So, yeah, it's kind of a reminder to appreciate the little things."-Sadurska said.
Sadurska explained how she couldn't train in her homeland due to the ongoing Russia and Ukraine war, but expressed her happiness by setting a new record, ending the long and successful season.
