The International Symposium of Ombudsmen, titled "Strengthening the Rule of Law: The Role of Ombudsmen and National Human Rights Institutions", began in Baku on June 18.
The event opened with a speech from Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, delivered by Minister of Justice Farid Ahmadov on his behalf.
The symposium will include panel discussions on topics such as "Ensuring Constitutional Rights through Ombudsmen and National Human Rights Institutions", "Ensuring Equal Rights for All: Positive Experiences and Challenges", and "Strengthening International Cooperation in Refugee Rights Protection and Positive Experiences".
These discussions will feature both local and international experts, along with heads of ombudsmen and national human rights institutions.
