Jeyhun Bayramov, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with the newly appointed Korean Ambassador Kang Kymgu to discuss deepening bilateral ties, regional issues, and cooperation in various fields including education, climate diplomacy, and technology.
During the meeting, the two officials reviewed the current state of Azerbaijan-Korea bilateral and multilateral cooperation, emphasizing development opportunities in sectors such as economy, investments, humanitarian affairs, education, and tourism. They also highlighted untapped potential in agriculture, high technologies, and healthcare.
The meeting underscored successful joint educational projects, including dual-degree programs between Korea’s INHA University and Baku Engineering University, as well as collaboration with the Baku State Vocational Education Center for Industry and Innovations.
Both sides exchanged views on Azerbaijan’s role in climate diplomacy and its upcoming COP29 Presidency, discussing expected outcomes and key goals of the summit.
Minister Bayramov also shared Azerbaijan’s perspective on regional developments, particularly the aftermath of the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict.
