President Masoud Pezeshkian emphasized the vast potential for expanding cooperation between Iran and Azerbaijan, according to IRNA.
Speaking before departing for Baku on an official visit Monday morning, Pezeshkian highlighted opportunities for collaboration in trade, science, and the economy, and noted that discussions would also cover transport links between Iran, Azerbaijan, and Russia.
He stressed the importance of sharing expertise and encouraging joint investments, expressing hope that such visits would drive growth and development across multiple sectors.
Pezeshkian added that Iranian business leaders, industrialists, and academics would also meet with their Azerbaijani counterparts to explore ways to boost cooperation.
This marks Pezeshkian’s first trip to Azerbaijan as president, aligning with his administration’s focus on strengthening regional and neighborhood diplomacy. The visit is seen as part of ongoing efforts to revive and deepen relations between the two nations.
