Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan acknowledged that Türkiye could contribute positively to Azerbaijan - Armenia relations but stressed that direct bilateral negotiations between Baku and Yerevan have been the most effective so far.
“Other countries can only facilitate, but direct dialogue with Baku ‘in the same room’ is the best option,” Mirzoyan said.
“As for the location, it is not essential. There is an idea to sign it on the Armenia–Azerbaijan border. A few other capitals have also offered to host. I don’t rule anything out, but I have not received such a proposal yet,” he added.
