Azerbaijan and Armenia have finalized a historic peace agreement, marking a major step toward ending decades of conflict, with both sides agreeing on all remaining articles.
Azerbaijan and Armenia have made significant progress in their negotiations, with Baku’s Foreign Ministry confirming that the draft peace agreement is nearly complete. Key conditions set by Azerbaijan include Armenia amending its constitution to remove any claims against Azerbaijan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as the dissolution of the OSCE Minsk Group.
Armenia has accepted these conditions and is prepared to discuss the final signing details, officials said. The last two disputed articles have now been agreed upon, concluding the negotiations.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev emphasized that Baku initiated the peace process and authored the draft agreement.
The breakthrough follows months of diplomatic efforts, with both nations working toward long-term stability in the South Caucasus. While the agreement’s official signing date has yet to be confirmed, the finalized deal signals a turning point in regional relations.
