Pakistan's Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has arrived in Baku for an official visit at invitation of Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev.
He was welcomed by Azerbaijan's first deputy prime minister Yaqub Eyyubov and deputy minister of foreign affairs Yalchin Rafiyev.
During the two-day visit, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif will hold high-level meetings with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and other senior officials.
The discussions will focus on deepening defence collaboration, expanding cultural ties, developing trade, investment and energy cooperation.
Several Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) and agreements are expected to ink with ail to boost the partnership between two nations.
The Pakistan-Azerbaijan Business Forum is set to take place on Monday, bringing together business leaders from both nations to explore opportunities for joint ventures and expand trade, investment and business-to-business (B2B) collaboration.
According to Pakistani media, PM is accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan, Minister for Investment & Privatization Abdul Aleem Khan, Minister for Overseas Pakistanis & Human Resource Development Chaudhry Salik Hussain, Information Minister Ataullah Tarar, and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Syed Tariq Fatemi.
