The Azerbaijan-Georgia Media Forum on the theme 'The Role of Media in Forming Public Trust and Information Security' has commenced in Baku, on 5 December.
The first panel session of the forum was devoted to the topic 'Strengthening the media ecosystem to ensure information security.'
The discussion featured a wide-ranging exchange of views on issues such as the multifaceted impact of technological evolution on the media environment, protecting the reliability of information, the transformation of social media into one of the main sources of information.
The forum aims to deepen cooperation in the media field between the two countries, enhance trust in the information environment, and properly assess security challenges.
The panelists noted that as the media’s responsibility increases in today’s information landscape, strengthening journalist training, expanding educational programs, and developing long-term media literacy initiatives are essential to ensure the public receives accurate and reliable information.
