Armenia’s Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met with Allison Hooker, U.S. Deputy Secretary of State for Political Affairs, in Yerevan on Monday.
The two sides emphasised their readiness to deepen cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including energy, infrastructure, artificial intelligence, and investment promotion.
Mirzoyan welcomed the U.S.’s continued role in strengthening lasting peace in the region. The meeting also reportedly covered discussions on the so-called “Trump route.”
Ms Hooker is currently in Armenia and will subsequently travel to Azerbaijan. The U.S. Deputy Secretary of State’s regional visit, which began on 15 November, is scheduled to conclude on 21 November.
