A new agreement between Azerbaijan and Russia aims to enhance the efficiency of the North-South transport corridor and improve transit links.
During his visit to Russia, Rashad Nabiyev, Azerbaijan's Minister of Digital Development and Transport, held talks with Vitaly Saveliev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, and Roman Starovoit, Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation, The Azerbaijan State News Agency reports.
The discussions focused on the development of the "North-South" International Transport Corridor and the implementation of vehicle transportation.
As a result of the meeting, an agreement was signed between the Governments of Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation to cooperate in advancing transit cargo transportation through the "North-South" International Transport Corridor.
The primary objective of the agreement, which outlines the terms of cooperation for developing railway infrastructure and transit transportation, is to enhance the efficiency of transport links and boost the potential of the Western route of the "North-South" International Transport Corridor.
