Backed by the Belt and Road Initiative, the lab is designed to become a regional hub for environmental innovation. It will focus on developing key technologies for environmental protection and sustainable biological resource management.
At the opening ceremony, officials highlighted the lab’s role as a high-level international platform for scientific and technological collaboration. Experts from other Central Asian countries are expected to participate in its research programmes, supporting broader goals of regional sustainability and environmental resilience.
